Yes, I did quote Madonna there at the top. Music has always played a huge part in my life. When I was in fourth grade, I started playing trumpet and still play when the mood strikes. Going to concerts with friends is a favorite pastime of mine and also, I’ve been known to man the ones and twos as DJ SpinderMella on occasion at a favorite watering hole in Houston, Leon’s Lounge. Back in November, I went with a friend and fellow reporter Dan Murtaugh to see Jens Lekman in Houston.
We both were pleasantly surprised to see so many fellow Houstonians come out that night to see the quirky, adorable and talented Swede.
At the end of the show, he invited attendees to stay and chat and I swear he said something about whispering in his ear. Whimsy!
